Cessna Citation II Goes to School – 5 March 2016

Milton Hall Primary School in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, have taken an unusual move to add much needed classroom space by purchasing the fuselage of Cessna 550 Citation II G-DWJM. The aircraft made the short journey by road from London Southend Airport on 5 March and has been positioned on the school’s playing field where it will be restored both internally and externally. The inside of the Citation will be converted into a teaching space for the pupils. The aircraft was first registered in 1981 (as G-BJIR) and served a number of operators before having its registration cancelled in 2014. The airframe made its final flight a few years previously and has since lost its wings. The school would welcome any help with the restoration and would be willing to add a sponsor’s name to the outside of the airframe. Contact details can be found on the school’s website http://www.miltonhallschool.com/
